The multifunction plate or comb is a very practical tool for inspectors, applicators and painting professionals in the field.
It is also suitable for use in the automotive sector, the coatings industry, construction, maintenance, galvanising, laboratories, painting, the property sector, the shipbuilding industry and steel protection.
This pocket-sized device enables the following tests to be carried out:
Multifunctional stainless steel measuring tool. Enables on-site testing, assessment or measurement of: paint adhesion testing at 1, 2 and 3 mm, St Andrew’s cross (X-cut), measurement of wet film thickness from 50 to 225 μm, checking for correct edge coverage, film application from 250 to 500 μm, as well as an indication of coating levelling. The kit includes tape for carrying out the test in accordance with ISO 2409.
In accordance with ISO 2409: 1 mm for coatings up to 60 µ, 2 mm for coatings up to 120 µ, 3 mm for coatings from 120 µ to 250 µ, and 1.5 mm for special applications. For coatings thicker than 250 µ, make a cross-cut.

What is a multifunction cross-cut plate used for?
The CC2400 Multifunction Plate enables the verification, practice and evaluation of the correct performance of cross-cut adhesion tests. It is a particularly useful tool for training inspectors, validating procedures and internal quality control.
Can the multifunction plate replace equipment calibration?
No. The plate helps to verify the correct use of the instrument and the condition of the blades, but it does not replace the calibration or verification procedures established by the manufacturer.
How can you tell if the blades of a grid cutter are still making cuts that comply with the standard?
With continued use, the blades may lose their edge and produce incomplete or irregular cuts that affect the adhesion rating. The CC2400 Multifunction Plate allows you to visually check the quality, alignment and uniformity of the cuts before carrying out critical tests in accordance with ISO 2409 or ASTM D3359.
